Today, we are happy to share that DBIT students have struck gold again in this competition!
In fact, we did even better than last year, emerging as the 1st runner-up InnovateIT 2014!

The winning team consisting of two DBIT Year 3 students Sally Chin and Anudharshini and one recent DBIT graduate, Kenneth Tan beat 40+ teams to emerge second in this yearly competition organised by SMU (Singapore Management University)!
And wow, they got a really cool prize for the win - a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1!

Besides the students who worked hard and got their well-deserved rewards, we must not also forget the lecturers who mentored and helped them in their journey to their success. The following lecturers provided support for the students:
- Boh Cheh Wee - He was the mentor of the winning team who provided guidance and advice to the team in their preparation for the competition.
- Tan Hu-Shien – He brought the students to Hackathons so that they can learn from there. In addition, he also provided feedback and critic during the rehearsal.
- Clarence Ng – He was the main person who gave feedback to the students' proposals and helped to enhance their presentation skills.
- Chong Chee Seng - He oversaw the competition preparation and mentored two teams.
- Justin Monreal - He was the mentor of one of the 4 teams which joined the competition.
