So much good news in a row!

Yesterday, I just shared about our DBIT Year 2 student, Timothy Noel Ho, being awarded the prestigious SAS Scholarship.

Today, I am happy to announce that we have another three DBIT Year 2 students who also got accepted by ELITe (Enhanced Learning in Information Technology), a talent development programme by IDA!

The Enhanced Learning in Infocomm Technology (ELITe) is a talent development programme that aims to develop "industry-ready" infocomm graduates.  Students under the ELITe programme will be given opportunities to acquire practical exposure through industry attachments, mentorship, projects and skills development through certifications.

Tan Jing Yi Tabitha, Chua Kim Hong Ashley and Ng Yao Wei Cedric, the DBIT recipients of this year's ELITe programme will also get to enjoy benefits like a one-time laptop allowance,  funding support for overseas internship and funding support for technical courses/certifications!

But oh, there are some basic criteria these successful ELITe applicants need to fulfill too!
  • Attend at least one seminar, lecture or workshop during their studies.
  • Undertake at least one industry-relevant project during his/her studies with his/her mentor or undertake an industry-relevant project accepted by the polytechnic.
  • Undertake at least one internship during his undergraduate studies with an industry partner.
  • Take up at least one endorsed certification or course
  • Maintain a progress report throughout the duration of the programme.
But its totally worth the effort though! Afterall, earning these experiences will be the building stones to a better career in the IT industry for them!

All the best Tabitha, Ashley and Yao Wei! :)
