Some Info on Local Uni

Hello, Shi Hui writing here. This post is dedicated to my fellow DBIT Year 3s, but of course, Year 2s and Year 1s are welcomed to read as well. :)

I was looking through courses available in the various universities in Singapore and decided to compile a list of courses that I think is related to DBIT (from SIM, SMU, NUS, NTU & SUTD), that you may or would want to consider.You may find that it's a little too soon to care about all these, but to be honest, I don't think it's too early to look through all these and get yourself a little prepared. Here are the application period for the respective universities:

SIT (Digipen) --> Closes on 1 April 2013
https://singapore.digipen.edu/admissions/

SMU ---> 17 Oct 2012 to 1 Apr 2013
http://www2.smu.edu.sg/admissions/docs/Admission%20Timeline.pdf

SUTD ---> 14 Jan 2013 to 3 Mar 2013
http://www.sutd.edu.sg/admission_req_local_poly_diploma.aspx

NTU ---> Start of February 2013
http://admissions.ntu.edu.sg/UndergraduateAdmissions/Pages/ApplytoNTU.aspx

NUS --->  Start of February 2013
http://www.nus.edu.sg/oam/docs/Cat%20B%20Appln%20Guide.pdf

I can't really find SIM one (maybe i didn't look hard enough for it >.<)... so maybe you can try searching if you're interested? As for NTU and NUS, it was 1 Feb 2012 - 21 Feb 2012 for this year's application (2012)... so I guess it's around the same time for next year's application (2013)? :/ So as you can see, there's only a few months left before we have to apply... and don't forget, we'll be having our FYP in this coming semester... so I guess we'll probably be quite busy... so I thought it would be good to start to take a look at what's there to offer for us....

As for guys, if I'm not wrong, I once heard from somewhere that you'll pay your school fees according to your year of application. (Please check that out to confirm.... lol) Let's say... you apply next year (2013) and got a place for entry in 2015... and maybe within this period, there's an increase in tuition fees, you'll not have to pay the revised one but the one before the increase (equivalent to the fees girls pay when they enter in 2013). So yeap, if so maybe you can start to think about applying this coming year too... to secure a placement as well as to secure a (possibly) lower tuition fee? lol.

Anyway here are the courses offered by the respective universities... I listed all (hopefully) the courses I can find that's either IT or Business or Business+IT. lol. (I'll list the universities in alphabetical order --> SIM, SMU, SUTD, NTU, NUS)
