Changchun OITP (awaiting blog post)...

YOPE!

Our group in Chang Chun blogging again!

So sorry about the delay, please understand that our internet connection is not at all fantastic and we can only complete it at selected times.

Anyways…

Week 2... or 3...

For this week, we went to a museum in Changchun. This location specializes in many dead natural animals. What you see may be fake… This bear is a dead bear that has chemicals added to it to preserve its body and flesh. The only thing about this bear that is fake, is its eye balls...

There are many rocks that are on display too. They are craved and specially lit to enhance the beauty of the natural rocks.

More real animals.

Butterfly and a look at the history of the earth.
After the tour, we went to have a delicious Steamboat. [sorry, no pictures were taken, but I guess I can explain to you… it’s a pot filled with water and you cook it till its boiling. Subsequently. You throw in whatever you want to eat and once it’s cooked, you take it out.]

That concludes our Week two Activity I guess… Did I mention that it snowed another time this week?

Problem is... it’s not just snow; it’s snowing and raining at the same time! There’s a video to it… but I’m not sure it’s clear enough…

The wind and snow and rain made it almost impossible for us to walk all together.
Week 3...
If you think our Week Two is bored, I guess you are probably right. Or maybe we just forgot to take more pictures…

Either way, Week 3 is here… Saturday has finally arrived. We were arranged to take a special trip to Harbin… Yup! The place where our course mates are at!
We woke up early in the morning where it’s not at all bright. 3:30AM. We gather at 4 and boarded the bus… It’s snowing again… for the fourth time in Changchun … but trust me; it’s not welcoming. After we boarded the bus, we cozy ourselves and put ourselves to sleep. The trip from Changchun to Harbin will take approximately 4 hours. However, due to the snow, our speed will be reduced to maximum of 50 KPH… meaning a 5 hour trip.

To made things worse, sue to the snow, once again, an accident happened in the high way, delaying us another hour. Eventually, we were strangled in the high way for 6 hours.

Finally, at 10.30 AM, we reached. This is our first stop. 731 group is a Japanese military group that specialize in gas attacks in China during the Japanese occupation.
