DBIT Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2011



Diploma in Business Information Technology (DBIT) year-two students attended a 2-day Entrepreneurship Bootcamp on the 6th and 7th June 2011 to inculcate entrepreneurship mindset.
The bootcamp was jointly organised by SP Enterprise Centre and School of Digital Media and Infocomm Technology (DMIT). Students attended workshops on idea generation, business/social enterprises, business plan writing and speed pitching. They also went on a field trip to TechSource Systems where a sharing session was conducted by Mr Alex Lo, CEO. The students competed in pitching their business plans to a panel of judges, comprising venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and academics.

Chan Yan Qiang Jovian, Neo Jia Jun, Ng Boon Hao Joseph, Ng Chen Kian and Tan Shu Bin clinched the top prize with their idea on a mobile application that allows users to transfer various data between mobile phones on different operating systems.
