Last week, on the 21st January, majority of the final year students in DBIT attended this meaningful event. It is the “DBIT Career Day cum PTN Class Gathering” organized by Mr. Andrew Lee. This event was organized to help the current third year students to deals the challenges ahead (recession) to prepare them after their graduation.
Speakers of the event: Mr. Reginald Yuen (Associate Director) and Mr. Lim Beng Chong (Senior Lotus Consultant, IBM Singapore). They have provided and shared with us the current jobs situations and how we should prepare ourselves for this challenge.
In addition, Jobstreet.com was also invited to set up a booth outside the MLT 12 to offer advice to the graduating students on how to leverage on online as avenue for job application. Some students have also submitted their resumes on the spot to their Jobstreet’s staff. I’m sure the help from Jobstreet.com and advice given by the PTN and lecturers during the class gathering have provided valuable feedback to the students who may which to apply for a job after their graduation.
I hereby wish all students from DBIT study hard for the last semester and graduate with flying colours.
